Licensed Clinical Psychologist
ABOUT ME:
About 15 years ago, I became disenchanted with the western model of therapy and healing. Working only with intellectual understanding, pursuing insight, and talking about suffering seemed incomplete at best, often lacking some additional healing ingredient. I began a meditation practice and dharma study, I sought out alternative models of healing and self-exploration: working with soul-based healers, contemplative teachers, exploring shamanic practices and energy healing (Reiki) and seeking out psychedelic therapy. I began to understand myself in new and deeper ways, I connected with embodied pathways to healing, and I expanded my awareness of our human struggle to consider broader ways of helping. My life and being feels changed and enriched from this path and I hope to instill these experiences into how I work as a therapist today!
For more conventional information about me, I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver and my B.S. in human development from Northwestern University. I have been in private practice for over 25 years. In addition, I have worked in the public schools, community mental health agencies, and for six years was an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology where I taught and supervised doctoral students.

My interests outside of work include spending time with my wife and two adult daughters, hanging out with friends and extended family, biking and hiking, skiing, meditation, reading, writing and spiritual exploration.
